When deciding on a host for your blog, take into consideration what works for you! There are many blogging platforms to choose from. I personally use Weebly because I found it was the easiest and it allows me to fully express my creativity and work with html/css freely. Of course there are other hosts such as Blogspot and Wordpress, which personally I didn't get on with so well. Yay for Weebly!
Creating a blog with Weebly
1. Sign up! I'm sure I don't have to go through a step by step tutorial for signing up . . . By now, I'm sure we've all signed up for something on the internet.
After signing up, you'll then be directed to choose what type of website you are looking to create, since the topic of this post is creating a BLOG, that's the option you'll choose.

You should then be directed to the editor, where you can build, design, add more pages, and adjust the settings of your new website. This is where your creativity and vision takes place. What type of blog are you trying to create? What kind of blogger are you? What interests you in life?
What's your vision?
The Lifestyle Blogger - are focused on life task situations, such as parenting, student life, marriage, senior life, etc. They are focused on emotional benefits of blogging. They search for help or they want to share their experience and make someone else’s life easier.
The Beauty Blogger - are generally focused on all things beauty related. They educate others with reviews and opinions on beauty products. Beauty bloggers always have to be on top of things when it comes to beauty, art and fashion.
I've aimed my blog to be a combination of the two. I want to share a little bit of my life through photography and art. I do the occasional review on products, share my experiences of pregnancy, and my opinions on certain subjects. I am also trying to help others to showcase their creativity the same way I have, through a blog.
Once you've figured out what type of blog you are wanting to create you are then free to start building upon your vision! This is the fun part.
Choose your template
Weebly makes it incredibly easy to choose a theme. They have over 100 professionally designed templates for you to choose from. Once you've chosen a theme, you can further customize the design by modifying the fonts, sizes, text colors, and more. If you are more advanced, they give you an option to further customize your template through HTML/CSS in the advanced theme editor.
Once you are happy with your template, you can start modifying the content of your blog page. Add a photo of yourself, share some information about your life, link your Facebook and where to contact you, add a YouTube video, a poll or a slideshow. Once you are happy with the content of your page, start on your first Blog Post!
Blogging
Weebly uses a 'Drag & Drop' interface that makes it so easy and fun to use. You can include photo galleries, videos, audio clips and other widgets into your blog posts. You can also add images, create columns to separate content, and add html codes using 'embed code.'
Blogging content is important. This is where you catch the readers attention and have them coming back to your blog every time. The greatest thing you can do is to make someone feel inspired. You want to make your reader feel they are reading somethings useful and informative.
Include your reader - Don't just write about yourself. People don't want to feel as if they are reading your personal journal. You are writing to an audience! Remember to include them by incorporating their questions and stories. Create a lesson, and share what you've learned so that they can apply it to their life.
Make your audience laugh - This is where you catch your readers loyalty. They will then enjoy reading your blog. They will feel as if they are living the experience with you. Be yourself and put your heart into it.
Start a conversation - by creating a conversation you now have your readers involved. Interaction is key to being a successful blogger.
You now have the essential information to a moderately successful blog. Be sure to link your social media to Weebly to increase traffic to your website. This will help you gain an audience and loyal readers. Remember blogging takes dedication, keep your posts up-to-date and consistent and don't be afraid to promote yourself . . . Good luck!
